First day of Kindergarten!

Gracie did great on her first day of school! She LOVES every moment of it! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by! She found her friend Elise right away! Ready to go!

Day before school girls day

Well...I promised Gracie a special girls day the day before school. Wade was working, so Charlie tagged along, so we both watched as Gracie got primped. She got her nails painted first. She picked out the color and insisted on sparkles too (of course!). Then she got a few inches cut off and the lady asked her how she wanted to wear her hair, straight or curly, and she really wanted it straight...:( So, I let her. She has worn it to school the last two days, but I'm already missing her beautiful curly hair. Can't wait until she takes a shower and those curls come back!Before

Summer getaway to the lake house

We had so much fun last time we went to the lake house..we were excited to get to go back. We headed down Thursday night and then spent the whole day on Friday at the Missouri State Fair. It was hot and I was tired..so I didn't take any pictures..but the kids had a good time. Saturday we spent the whole day on the lake, which was so much fun! Again, I didn't take any pictures (sorry!). Gracie took a ride with daddy on the inter tube, and then she got quite a laugh out of watching daddy and Uncle Russell get thrown off the inter tube. And the most exciting thing...Gracie's first tooth fell out while she was swimming...luckily the caught it just in time. She was soooo excited and was even more excited to find out that the tooth fairy comes to the lake house too! We had such a great trip and it was so nice to have everyone there (except Aunt Heidi). It was a great way to end summer and get ready for the school year!

End of summer bash!

We tried to fit in a bunch of fun this summer and we did...but it is always over so fast! We spent one day last week over at a friends house, celebrating the end of summer! Gracie begged me to bring cupcakes, so we snacked on those, played in the bounce house, and just had an awesome time!

Baby No Name

I don't think I like that baby countdown ticker on my blog...every day the number is smaller and I realize I need to get things ready! And we have yet to pick out a name! I have ONE I really like (i know you want to know...but I'm not telling) but it's a little bit different...so I'm still debating it..and I still need a middle name! So....anybody got any ideas? Send them my way!

7 Days!

Gracie has been counting down the days...and we are down to 7!!! And then she will officially be a kindergarten! I'm so excited for her...sad that she'll be gone from 9-3:30 M-F..but she is going to LOVE every moment of it! We get to go and meet her teacher Thursday night, I've heard a lot of good things about her, so that puts me at ease. We've got all the school clothes shopping done and we are almost done with all the school supplies. Next Monday (the day before school starts) the two of us are going to get our haircut and then a relaxing pedicure..and then we'll BOTH be all set! Seven more days! Charlie is excited to start school too! He'll start on Sept. 8 and he'll go Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-12..and on Tuesday he'll get to stay till 2:30 and eat lunch with his teacher from last year. He can't wait (and i can't wait for ONE day to myself...well for a few months!)
