Sunny Weekend

We didn't have much planned for this weekend, but it was still so nice outside we decided we should voyage into the city and see the sights. We had a great time with the kids and it was fun to see some new places. We stopped in to a festival where the had acrobats/mountain climbers hanging from the side of a HUGE building, check out the pictures, it was pretty amazing.

Mizzou!!!

On our way back from the lake house we stopped into Columbia and looked around the town where Wade had gone to college. He hadn't been back there for 5-6 years so it was fun to go down memory lane. Go Mizzou!!

Lake House

We took my family up to the Lake house and it was a beautiful weekend, we had a blast out on the boat and the sunsets were beautiful.

First Field Trip

My mom watched Charlie so i could go along with Gracie to her field trip to the Apple Farm. It was fun to meet all of her new friends and to spend some time with just her. We had a blast!

Children's Museum

We had a great time while my mom was into visit. We checked out the St. Louis Children's Museum, it was awesome!! One of the best i've seen! We loved it so much I got a membership and now we can enjoy it anytime.

Yep, 6 years ago today my college roomates told me that we were going to hike up Angels Rest in Oregon. Now this mountain is no small hike. It's almost 2 miles just to the top. We all hiked up halfway and we came around a bend and there were rose petals scattered all over the ground. Then my girlfriends told me that I had to go on up the rest of the way by myself. I had a feeling about what was going on.....I hiked until I came to the very top. It is a beautiful view; you can see the Columbia Gorge and it is a truly breathtaking view. There at the top of the mountain down on one knee was Wade, all dressed up, with a ring in one hand. He held out his shaking hand and asked me to marry him...i said, of course! Then we sat on edge of the mountain and watched a beautiful sunset. 7 years ago I made one of the best decisions of my life. I love you Wade, thanks for choosing me!:)

4 years old!!!

Happy Birthday big girl...i still can't believe you are four. I know everyone says it, but it is so true...kids grow up so fast. I can still remember the day you were born and the incredible joy I felt at having a baby girl. You have made me so proud already in your four short years. You are my little buddy and I love watching life through your eyes. You are so full of energy, so stubborn sometimes, but you have such a kind heart and you always want to make sure everyone around you is happy. I love how much you love Jesus and how easy faith is to you. You know God is in your heart and you have no doubt. You make me laugh after a hard day even when you make me mad. You are such a good big sister, so patient with your little brother, and he thinks you are the coolest thing around. You both make our lives so rich and full and I feel so blessed to be your mom....to be lucky enough to get to get to watch you grow. I love you sweetie, happy birthday!
Nana got her all kinds of new barbie stuff, Gigi handmade her a Cinderalla dress and Great Grandma got her a real tea set...just a few things she got today:)

Happy Birthday Gracie!!!

Today was Gracie's actual birthday so we had a party for her at home. She had a blast, and made a haul on Barbie stuff. Gracie especially loved having both of her grandma's in the same place...but we missed Papa Paul. Nana got Gracie this beautiful princess dress you see her wearing. And yes, I made the cake...i know it looks crazy..but it actually tasted pretty good:)
Well we didn't get to go to my reunion and I was really bummed, but we did get to got to Wade's on Saturday night. We had a great time and he got to catch up with a bunch of his old friends and i had a blast hanging out with all their girlfriends who have become good friends of mine.
