Spring Preview

Wednesday was an absolute beautiful day...reaching almost 60 degrees. It's gave us a glimpse of spring...but sadly it's back to super cold again....brrr. But we enjoyed the day and invited all of our friends to the park. We stayed there for over three hours! The kids loved it..and they slept so good!

Charlie LOVES playing hide and seek, however he loves to hide in the same spot over and over. I think he could play this game all day long.

The kids have been eager to help, they just really enjoy having a responsibility that is theirs. Charlie's job is to take all the recyclables from under the sink and put them in the container. And Gracie has a few more jobs, but after dinner she cleans off the table and loads the dishes in the dishwasher. For Christmas they got money banks, so now they are getting an allowance and learning to save.Why are you taking my picture?!?! He thinks he needs to really squeeze them first....

My Valentines

We had a great Valentine's day with the kids. We celebrated with them on Friday. They both had parties at school and then in the evening we took them out to eat to a fancy (well fancy for them) restaurant. They were well behaved and excited to get to order whatever they wanted. Daddy brought home a beautiful flower for Gracie, and I gave Charlie a card and a toy. It was a great day and so fun to spend time together. Saturday we put the kids to bed early and Wade made I some really yummy salmon and shrimp. It was a perfect day!

I also took the kids in for their checkups. Gracie had to get three shots for kindergarten. She was so brave, but excited to get them, since she can't wait to go to kindergarten. Poor thing could barely walk the next day, three shots knocked her out!

She is 43.5 inches tall (75th) and weighs 42 pounds (75th) Charlie man was freaked out by everything at the doctors office. I think we need to watch a special video on how not to be scared of the doctor. He screamed and cried at everything, getting measured, having his ears looked at...everything. I had no clue he would be so scared. Charlie is 36 1/4 inches tall (25th) and weighs 29 pounds (50th)

Spring is coming....

We've had a few days of some really nice weather..one day it even reached 67 degrees! After being cooped up all winter the kids were excited to get outside and play. Here are some pics of them at the park with Gracie's friend Maya.Making pinecone soup Being silly

Charlie Wade

I was in love with this little guy the moment he was born. He was an easy pregnancy..a quick labor (4 hours total) and he's been such a laid back little boy. He makes me smile daily. I feel so blessed to have this little cutie in my life. Happy Birthday to my "best boy!"

Charlie's 3rd Birthday

I don't know why...but I had a hard time this birthday..I just couldn't believe my little boy was three...how did the time go by so fast?!?!? It seems like just yesterday he was born...really, it goes by soooo fast!No, i did not make the cake..my wonderful friend Renee made this for me...and saved me so much time! This picture just cracks me up...they are both doing the EXACT same face....so funny! His favorite present of all...a BIG pablo! His first pair of cowboy boots! He blew and blew and got lots of germs all over the cake! Both grandma's were thinkig alike...one made his this outfit, the other got the boots and belt and they both got him a hat..how perfect! What do I do with this thing? Cowboy Charlie! This picture has horrible quality..but it was the only one we got...and it really made me laugh..you can tell we live in the midwest now...we give our kids toy guns to play with.....:) Everybody enjoyed the new Wii!
