Apple Farm!
This was my third trip to the Apple Farm and my last one with Charlie before he heads to Kindergarten (i'm trying not to think about that yet). I love this farm, and the kids love it too!
Fall Soccer
Sorry this pictures are so bad. I only had my little camera with me, and the quality is horrible!
I was so surprised that Gracie wanted to play soccer again last fall. Gracie loves sports, but she doesn't seem to like to run much. She gets tired easily, wants a snack, a drink, a break. But she has no problem running for an hour straight when she's playing soccer. It's been so fun watching her this year as she went from a boy/girl team to an all girl team. However this spring she's decided that as much as she likes soccer she'd like to give softball a try. I only let my kids choose one sport per season, so we'll see how this one goes! Charlie man will still be doing soccer. He's not all that into it yet, but man, that kid can run!
The zoo!
That same day we stopped in at the zoo. Since our zoo is free you never feel like you have to rush through it all to get your money's worth. You just see what you have time to see and come back next time to see the rest. Charlie's favorite is the penguins, so we always make sure to see them. They sure are cute to watch. We also stopped in at the Butterfly Garden. Addy thought that was pretty interesting! :)
Charlie's special day
We got a great deal off Groupon for the train museum, so Wade took a day off work and we spent some time there and then headed over to the zoo. It was a beautiful day out (end of Sept.) and we had a lot of fun exploring the city. With Charlie being the middle child (and the only boy) we try to do special things with him that he chooses. Addy came with us for the day, but we did all the things that were special to him. It was a fun day!
Catching up!
Well, I am really behind on my blog..really behind. Life (and three kids) has kept me busy! My busiest time for picture taking is the fall, and I was slammed last fall, so pretty much everything got put on the back burner. I loved being so busy, but it was nice when January rolled around and things slowed down a bit. Now to catch up on the blog!
Halloween was warm again this year, which is so nice! Wade and I was in a wedding in Kansas City, so we got home on the afternoon of Halloween. However, the kids had already had two class parties, and two trunk and treats, so they'd done plenty. They were staying at my in-laws house, so we took them around the neighborhood there. It was nice because the grandparents, great-grandparents and soem aunts and uncles all live within walking distance and they were so excited to get to see the kids. Cousin Mackenzie and baby Noah joined us too.
