Standing up!
In the last few weeks Addy has gone from a crawl, to a really fast crawl, to now pulling up on everything. I want to knock her down, to tell her to stop growing up so fast, but I don't think even that would stop her. We had to put a gate up finally and I have to keep getting on the kids to stop leaving tiny Lego's, Polly pockets and rocks in the living room. There getting better and even help me out with her. They sure do love her. Charlie tells me at least once a day, "I love Addy, when I grow up I'm going to marry her."

8 months!
The fourth of July was also Adalyn's 8 month birthday..which is so hard to believe! But in just four short months this little lady will be a year old! I am so in love with this girl! Each month I feel like I get to know her personality a little more. She is so laid back and just so happy all the time. She starting crawling at 7.5 month, and now she's FAST! She's pulling up and even holding onto a toy and taking a step or two (nooo!!!). She loves music and we'll start dancing if she hears music. She's starting to imitate things we do like waving and dancing, it's pretty cute. I'm tyring to remember to get that video camera out. Her favorite foods: bananas and sweet potatoes. And in just the last month she had all four of her top teeth come in..so now she has 6 teeth! And somehow she hasn't been cranky at all! We are all so in love with this sweetie, she really completes our little family.
Fourth of July 2010
We had a great fourth of July this year! Our crazy town had fireworks the night before, so we went and saw a great show with the kids and Wade's parents. Addy seemed a little in shock watching the fireworks, but she never cried, just sat and stared at them. I kept her ears covered because we were really close (so close we had ash and cardboard falling on our heads). Sunday we headed over to the Stephen's and had an awesome fourth of July party. The kids played on a bounce house, and the water slide. And the adults had a very competitive game of kickball. In the evening we drove to the nearest town and parked a few roads away and watched another great show. I love fireworks..I think the fourth of July has to be my favorite holiday after Christmas. Here's a few pics of my little fourth of July sparklers.

7 months!
Somehow another month has come and gone and Addy Mae is 7 months old! She is starting to change so much now and is really starting to show us her personality. She loves to make noises, and she loves music. If anyone sings to her (even me with my not so good voice) she stops and just stares and stays so still. I use it a lot when she gets wiggling during diaper changes. :)
She is still such a happy baby, she smiles at everything. She still sleeps like a champ and eats like one too. She's getting heavy..I'm already having to buy 12 month clothes for her! Geez! I think she's gonna be a tall one! She loves the water, and can splash and play for a long as I'll let her.
She loves new toys, especially if she can put them in her mouth. Her bottom teeth came in early, I think around 4 months, and I think the upper ones are soon to follow.
She loves having big sis home for the summer. She still is not sick of big brother smothering her with kisses all day long.
She brings me so much joy. I'm not a morning person AT ALL, but when I hear her singing on the monitor and I go into get her up and she's got the big smile on her face, it instantly brightens my day.
My favorite pic of her!
On the move!
Despite me trying to stop her from getting any bigger, Adalyn has figured out how to crawl! She did it for the first time last night and then really got going today. She's pretty slow, but you can tell she's loving that she can get to whatever she wants now. Which means that I need to baby proof the whole house and get all the itty bitty Polly pocket, Lego's, jewelry, barbie shoes...down to the basement. Let the fun begin!
I'll get a video up soon!

Summer Fun
Summer 2010 is here and we spent the first weekend of summer having fun! We walked down to town Saturday afternoon and let the kids play at a little church festival. Afterwards we went and walked on the nature trail. The kids and Wade had been there before, so they showed me all the cool places, and wow, what a fun place. I can't wait to take the kids back again!
Here we are trying to get a family pic, Wade's arms aren't quite long enough for our growing family!
Goodbye Kindergarten...Hello Summer!!!
I cannot believe how fast Gracie's first year of "real" school went! I found myself getting a little teary eyed on the last day as I realized that she was now a first grader..she is growing so fast! I absolutely LOVED her teacher, Ms. Plunkett. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher, she really loved her kids as if they were her own! Gracie did so well this year and is ready to take on first grade in the fall!
Here's a group picture of some of the class on the last day..we love you Ms. Plunkett!
