Grandma Flip holding Gracie on the day of her baptism

Grandma Flip, Wade's great-grandma and Gracie and Charlie's great-great grandma passed away today. She had already been gone in mind for a while and most of us were anxious for this day to come, to have God take her back from where she came, to give her her mind back. I know this was a glorious day for her as she was greeted not only by God, but also by her husband of more than fifty years, and also their first daughter that died at birth. What a glorious day for her! Though Charlie never really knew her Gracie was one of her favorites. Her room in her nursing home was covered with many pictures of Gracie. When Gracie was a baby Grandma Flip, Grandma Betty and Wade's mom all flew out to visit us in Washington. Grandma Flip was so excited to see Gracie and hold her. I remember being so happy for the both of them, one at the beginning of life and another at the end. How amazing that Gracie was able to meet her great-great Grandma. We'll miss you Grandma Flip, thanks for all the wonderful memories...and we'll see you again one day!

So sorry to hear about your loss, but so JOYFUL to hear she has gone home to the Lord. What a wonderful promise and gift we have all been given, eternal life after death.
